As you may have understood, I’m an advocate of self-love and self-compassion.
Those qualities arise spontaneously through yoga- and meditation practice and may be the way forward for this world; for humans to live in love and peace and our planet Earth to be treated with love and respect.
There’s research being done on the subject of self-compassion (which includes self-love along with Kristin Neff’s definition).
Kristin Neff* at the University of Texas has done a good amount of research on self-compassion. Her TEDx-talk about the difference of self-esteem and self-compassion is an important one, so I let her explain it. Enjoy!
